Reading the result
Valid — the certificate is current and the business holds certification at the level shown.
Expired — the certificate has passed its expiry date and has not been renewed. The badge should no longer be displayed.
Revoked — certification has been withdrawn. Treat any badge still in use as invalid.
Not found — no such certificate has been issued. If a business is showing you a badge with this ID, it is not a VBC certificate.
A note on scope. A valid certificate confirms that specific items were verified at the level stated. It is not a guarantee of the business’s performance, solvency or conduct.
